We have formed in an effort to assist families and contribute to community enhancement through nurturing, stimulating and encouraging children.

We believe the confidence instilled in our children will positively impact and propel their ability to develop socially and emotionally, and progress educationally while building a solid foundation for their future.

Our Programs

Infants

Our infant program provides a warm and welcoming environment where your baby can grow from a bundle of joy to a bundle of curiosity.  A warm, nurturing and loving atmosphere is essential to an infant’s optimal development.  Whether they are enthusiastically manipulating an interesting object, exploring different textures of material, delighting themselves by their reflection in a mirror or scotching under the bridge, infants learn by touching and responding to gentle touch, and by moving freely as they interact with their surroundings.

Our trained personnel talks to them about the objects they are seeing and environment they are experiencing, thus nurturing and encouraging their vocabulary development.  Songs are frequently sung, and soothing music is played during naps.  The infant’s schedule will be determined through a collaborative effort between parents and program personnel.

Toddlers

In our Toddler I & II programs, the children are introduced to a class routine with the purpose of instilling a sense of security in them.  The routine is flexible and is adjusted to meet the needs of each toddler.  Their eating, sleeping and playing schedule will be carried-out routinely everyday, allowing predictability.  The students are introduced to colors, numbers, shapes and prewriting skills, exposing them to material they will encounter as they progress through the various programs we offer.

The nurturing environment created in the Toddlers I & II programs provides structure that allows students the opportunities to engage in planned daily activities that lead to learning and social experiences through play, projects, and activities.  Assisted by the guidance of our early childhood development professionals, toddlers enjoy learning experiences that promote their blossoming independence and social skills, while fostering self-confidence.

Pre-K

Our preschool program continues to build upon the foundations established in our infant and toddler programs, while maintaining a low child-to-teacher ratio.  This approach affords our teachers the opportunity to work one-on-one with each student.  During this stage, children begin to develop interests, and our teachers are prepared to foster those interests with hands-on activities and active learning.  The program is filled with exploration, discovery and investigation, where active and enthusiastic children are encouraged to refine their interests and expand their skills and knowledge.

Through intentional teaching practices, progressively designed learning environments and enriched activities, teachers ensure preschoolers have joyful, appropriate, and meaningful learning experiences that lead to success in school and in life.  The children enrolled in our Pre-K III and Pre-K IV programs work on their handwriting and reading skills, and are exposed to colors, shapes and numbers recognition in preparation for the VPK program.

VPK Program

Our VPK program helps children advance their skills in core pre-academic areas such as literacy, math and science, as well as other essential areas, such as art and socio-emotional.  Our whole-child approach ensures that children are exposed to a diverse array of learning activities and excel in all areas of development.

We aspire to develop our children into creative thinkers, complex problem solvers, empathetic collaborators, curious investigators and astute decision makers.  Equally important to our VPK program is ensuring that they are prepared to become good citizens.

Before & After
School Care

Our before and after-school care programs offer learning opportunities and enrichment services in a stimulating environment for school-age children.

Whether preparing the children for the day ahead of them through our before-school care program, assisting them with their homework or engaging in fun physical activities in our after-school care program, the children will be provided a daily routine that promotes security, encouragement and self-confidence.

The programs are available for back-up care during school holidays, winter break and spring break for children up to the age of 12.

Summer Camp

Our center offers a summer camp program during the months of June, July and August for toddlers, preschoolers and school age children.  The summer camp program is created to engage children in experiences that foster the developmental skills of critical thinking, collaboration, communication and creativity.

Our professional staff works in collaboration to develop fun programs that take advantage of the activites the summer season has to offer.  Indoor and outdoor activites are designed to use playgrounds, the surrounding communities and special visitors to the camp, while helping children to discover science, explore nature and engage in the creative arts.

Literacy

Teachers thoughtfully and purposefully interact with children and plan experiences that support emerging literacy. A print-rich environment that enables children to practice literacy skills in meaningful ways and explicit teaching of important concepts are the foundation of literacy learning.

Mathematics

Teachers use many opportunities during the day to help children build competence in math. When children give a cracker to each person at the table, pour water from one container to another, put all the big buttons in one pile and the smaller ones in another, or clap a rhythmic pattern, they are learning math. Everyday activities such as these provide the context and are necessary experiences for children to progress their math skills. With adult guidance that promotes and extends children’s mathematical thinking, children learn math facts and begin to understand math concepts.

Science

The content of Science is taught by helping the children explore the world around them in meaningful ways. When teachers provide an environment with many varied materials, children manipulate them to see how they work. They experiment and ask questions. As they seek answers to their questions, they learn to enjoy, appreciate and understand their surroundings.

The Arts

Art involves designing, creating and exploring. Children mix paints; pound and shape clay; build structures with blocks, boxes and LEGO pieces; dance, dramatize stories; clap rhythms; and sing songs. The arts are addressed throughout the day.

S.T.E.A.M.

S.T.E.A.M.= Science & Technology, interpreted through Engineering & The Arts, all based in Mathematical elements.

Commencing at age three, the curriculum is adapted to implement the S.T.E.A.M. approach to education into the daily curriculum.

Science and Technology are understood as the basis of what the world has to move forward with, and be analyzed and developed through Engineering and the Arts, with the knowledge that everything is based in elements of Mathematics.

It is a contextual curriculum where the subjects are coordinated to support each other under a formal educational structure of how science, technology, engineering, mathematics and the broad spectrum of the arts all relate to each another in reality. This framework not only includes the art of aesthetics and design, but also the divisions of the liberal, language, musical, physical and manual arts.

S.T.E.A.M. ties ALL the subjects to each other in an interdisciplinary way, and is a life-long approach to educating and learning that is adaptable to the rapidly changing global world we live in.
